Josphat Muriuki - Trust Secretary

He was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Trust Secretary in 2016.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA-Finance) and Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Statistics (Actuarial Science). He is a Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA), a Certified Information and Security Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Pensions Trustee (CPT). He is a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology pursuing PhD in Leadership & Governance.

He has wide experience in Pensions, Finance, Accounting and Investments spanning over 10 years having previously worked as the Pensions Administration Manager with Liaison Group (I.B) Ltd a leading Risk, Insurance, Pensions and Investments Consultancy in Eastern Africa. He is a member of Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts of Kenya (ICIFA) and Information Systems Audit & Control Association – Kenya (ISACA - K).

Purity Kamau - Pensions Officer

Joined the scheme in 2009 as Pension Officer in charge of Pension Administration.  Has 18 years of experience in Human Resources and pensions administration. She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, ABE (UK) Diploma in Business Administration, ABE (UK), a Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP). 

She is a member of Association of Business Executives.

Hannah Nguhi - Investment Officer

Hannah Nguhi joined KenGen Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme in April 2013 as Investment Office in charge of Investment. She has over 10 years’ experience in the pension industry cutting across Investment (Fixed Income & Offshore Products) and treasury management, corporate financing and pensions administration. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Sciences.

Prior to her appointment at KenGen Pension Scheme, Hannah worked as a Portfolio Manager at Dry Associates Ltd having come from Alexander Forbes Financial Services as a Pensions Administrator.

Peter Miano - ICT Officer

Peter Miano joined KenGen Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme in January 2014 as an ICT Officer in charge of ICT. He has over 7 Years’ experience in the information and Communication  Technology sector. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Information Technology with honours and is to graduate with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Strategic Option. He currently pursuing Marketing Option for the same.

He also holds a Diploma in Information Technology. He is a  fellow member of the Information Communication Association of Kenya (ICTAK). Prior to his employment, he has also worked for several reputable firms that is Postal Corporation of Kenya, Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, Kenya Shell and executed projects with HP and UNEP.

Gloria Kikete - Finance Officer

She joined KenGen Staff Retirement Scheme in November 2014 as Finance Officer incharge of Finance. She has over 7 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting, with a bias to Pensions Fund Accounting. She has a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance Option; both from the University of Nairobi.

She is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA K) and a CPS Graduate. In addition she is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Prior to her appointment at KenGen Staff Retirement Scheme, she worked as the Financial & Management Accountant in charge of Schemes at CPF Financial Services (Laptrust).

 

Anthony Mang’eli - Property Officer

Anthony Mang’eli joined KenGen Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme in November 2016 as Property Officer in charge of Property Management. He has over 8 years experience in the real estate industry cutting across valuation, property management, investment appraisal, and feasibility studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Valuation & Property Management and a B.A. Land Economics, both from The University of Nairobi.

He is a Full Member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (VEMs Chapter) and a Registered and Practicing Valuer. Prior to his appointment at KenGen Pension Scheme, Anthony headed the Property Department at Actuarial Services (E.A) having come from Prestige Management Valuers Ltd as a Senior Valuer and Property Manager.

Albert Moturi - Assistant Pension Officer

He joined KenGen Staff Retirement Scheme in March 2016. Has one year experience in pension administration. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk and Insurance. He was an intern at Kenya Railways Staff Retirement Scheme and Alexander Forbes Financial Services.

Rashid Kinyua - Assistant Finance Officer

He joined KenGen Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme in November 2016 as an Assistant Finance Officer incharge of Finance. He has over 7 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA-Financial Management) from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance and Accounting Option (double major) from Strathmore University.

He is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and a Certified Securities and Investment Analyst of Kenya  (CSIA-K). In addition he is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Prior to his appointment at KenGen Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme, he worked as the Financial Accountant at ITSL Trust Company Limited (A subsidiary of ICEA LION LIFE).

Jane Namnyak - Office Assistant

Jane Namnyak joined KenGen Staff Retirement Scheme in April 2014. She holds a Diploma in Business Management from Methodist University. She is currently doing a Degree in Business Management at African Nazarene University.
