PENSIONERS & BENEFICIARIES
filing returns in Kenya is mandatory for everyone who holds a KRA PiN.
The income Tax Return (iTR) for the year 2023 is due for filing by 30th June 2024. failure to file KRA returns attracts a penalty fee of 25% of the tax due or Kes. 10,000.00 whichever is higher together with interest accruing daily from the deadline. it will take you less than five minutes to comply and avoid the penalties.
Kindly use the P9 form sent by the office to file the 2023 income Tax Return through the iTax Portal https://itax.kra.go.ke. Pension tax is a withholding tax which is a final tax, hence members are required to file a Nil return unless they have other sources of income.
