He was appointed to the Board of Trustees in March 2026 as a sponsor nominated trustee. He is the Chairperson of the Audit & Risk Management Committee and a member of the Investment & Strategy Committee. He is accomplished finance executive with over 25 years of extensive leadership experience in financial management, strategic planning, and governance across multiple sectors, including energy, telecommunications, and cloud services. Demonstrated expertise in leading complex financial operations, with a proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting frameworks that drive organizational performance.

Skilled in spearheading transformational change initiatives, optimizing cash flow management, and aligning financial strategies with overarching corporate goals to enhance operational efficiency. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He has undertaken specialized executive and technical training in Public–Private Partnerships (PPP) and infrastructure development at the International Law Institute, Washington DC. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Safaricom PLC and Airtel Africa PLC where he supported multi-country operations, capital investment decision-making, and large-scale business transformation initiatives. He joined the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) PLC in December 2017 as Finance Manager. In this role, he was responsible for financial accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, governance, internal controls, and compliance with IFRS and public finance regulations. Following progressive leadership responsibilities within the finance function, he was appointed KenGen’s General Manager – Finance. His key responsibilities include oversight of the Company’s financial strategy, capital planning, treasury and liquidity management, financial reporting, budgeting processes, risk management, and engagement with the Board, lenders, and investors to support sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
