He has undertaken specialized executive and technical training in Public–Private Partnerships (PPP) and infrastructure development at the International Law Institute, Washington DC. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Safaricom PLC and Airtel Africa PLC where he supported multi-country operations, capital investment decision-making, and large-scale business transformation initiatives. He joined the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) PLC in December 2017 as Finance Manager. In this role, he was responsible for financial accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, governance, internal controls, and compliance with IFRS and public finance regulations. Following progressive leadership responsibilities within the finance function, he was appointed KenGen’s General Manager – Finance. His key responsibilities include oversight of the Company’s financial strategy, capital planning, treasury and liquidity management, financial reporting, budgeting processes, risk management, and engagement with the Board, lenders, and investors to support sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
